THREE couples were celebrating an extra present on Christmas Day when babies Niamh, Jack and Laurenne entered the world.
Carleton woman Leanne Hickey, of Croft Terrace, was the first to give birth at Airedale Hospital at 8.54am - and was out of hospital in time for Christmas dinner!
Niamh, who weighed seven pounds and 11 ounces, is the third child of Leanne and husband Mark, and her brothers Thomas, eight, and Liam, six, were delighted with their extra present.
Claire Leaversley, from Ilkley gave birth to baby Jack at 1.02pm while Sandrine Pickard, from Ben Rhydding had her second daughter, Laurenne. at 6.06pm.
There were six babies born on New Year's Day, and full details will appear in next week's Herald.
