Silsden 3 Brighouse Town 0 - TWINS Matthew and Martin Bland sent Silsden on their way to a 3-0 cup victory over Brighouse Town.
The top of the table rivals faced each other in the West Riding County Amateur League's Premier Cup and after Silsden's ground was declared unfit the match wa switched to Brighouse.
They did not let the change of venue upset their rhythm and attacked Town from the opening whistle. After 25 minutes Matthew Bland floated over a free kick which was met at the back post by Martin who headed home.
Ten minutes later Mick Ward turned his defender on the edge of the penalty box and smashed the ball into the top corner.
Brighouse came back after the break but found the Silsden defence of Foulger, Rosser, Bland and man of the match Reed in excellent form.
With five minutes to go a through ballpicked out Mick Ward who chipped the keeper.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Silsden entertain Brackenhall United at Keighley Road in the County Challenge Cup (Kick-off 1.30).
On Tuesday, January 7, Silsden represent the West Riding when they take on the East Riding in the Northern Counties Cup at the County HQ ground at Woodlesford (Kick-off 7.45pm).
