WEST Riding County FA Cup action is back to add spice to the opening soccer action of the 2003 programme, with five Craven sides in action over the weekend.
At senior level, Challenge Cup holders Silsden entertain Brackenhall United tomorrow at Keighley Road in Round Four, while in-form Barnoldswick United also have home advantage when they tackle Honley at West Close at the same stage of the competition.
Silsden's Sunday team also have ground advantage when they entertain AFC Fleece in the Sunday Trophy, while there is also junior cup action on the same day.
Silsden Juniors provide the club with a three-pronged attack when their Under 14 team visit Bingley Juniors in the junior Trophy, while Embsay Wolves are also on the road when they visit Stanningley Albion in the Under 12 Junior Shield.
oSMALL wonder Chatburn are doing so well in the second division of the Craven & District Football League - they had two strikers leading the way in the goal-scoring statistics as the season reached its half-way stage.
Paul Gaskell is comfortably the most prolific marksmen in the league, with 20 league and eight cup goals to his credit, his 28-goal tally before last weekend's matches putting him 11 ahead of his nearest rivals.
Since one of them happens to be his team-mate Malcolm Coulter, who has 13 league and four cup goals, Chatburn's promotion bid looks to be is very capable hands.Match Coulter with 17 goals is Rick Holden from Colne Shepherds in Division One, but elsewhere goals have not been so easy to come by.
Premier Division leaders Oxenhope Recreation have Stephen Murray at the top of the scoring charts with 13 goals (11 league, two cup), with Stephen Morphet's three hat tricks for Skipton LMS putting him in second place with a dozen strikes (10-2).
Wayne Fisher from Cononley Sports also has 12 goals to his credit (10-2), with Bronte Wanderers striker Richard Bailey (7-4) and Andrew Bibb (11-0) one goal behind. Bradley's Neil Henderson has 14 goals (12-2), Embsay Reserves marksman Chris Capstick is one adrift with 13 league successes, as is Liam Jeffreys from Lothersdale,
