A family who left the rat race to follow their dreams abroad have featured in a new television series.
Richard Turnbull and his wife Sarah Fraser left their three-bedroomed terrace in Otley for 15 acres of olive farm in Tuscany in May.
On Wednesday night viewers saw Richard and Sarah take the plunge abroad and the challenges they faced in creating and running their own olive farm.
The couple appeared on the Channel Four series No Going Back, which shows real-life stories of people who have been brave enough to make sacrifices to turn their dreams into reality.
Richard and Sarah moved to Tuscany planning to grow their own vegetables and live off the land, hoping to harvest olives to make olive oil. They used their savings to convert their barn into a holiday cottage, but after been charged twice their budgeted amount for labour costs, Richard had to return home.
Richard is a Jimmy Savile impersonator and a mobile disco entrepreneur so he returned to work in England to raise extra money for the venture, whilst Sarah worked on the farm with their three-year-old son.
Now Richard still divides his time between working in Britain and the farm and the couple have successfully converted their barn for holidaymakers.
On the experience, Sarah said: "The TV experience was, for us, completely new and fairly interesting, although at times it drove us mad!"
Their Tuscan dream is located along a secluded road and overlooks fantastic views.
Sarah is currently writing a book about the experience.
Other projects featured in the No Going Back series include a couple who follow their dream and invest their life savings in an idyllic ski chalet in the French Alps, and a family who swap their London home for a sun-kissed house in Provence.
