The recent cold snap has meant little action in the Harrogate and District Premier Division over the past couple of weeks.
On Saturday the top three were all left kicking their heels as the snow and ice led to a spate of postponements. Leaders Ilkley were spared a return to the scene of last week's defeat against Pannal Sports when Killinghall Moor was declared unfit for their match with struggling Spa Athletic.
The two chasing clubs, Burley Trojans and Kirkby Malzeard saw their encounter called off as early as Friday night such was the state of The Rec, which allowed fourth placed Boroughbridge Reserves to close the gap with an emphatic 8-1 demolition of Beckwithshaw in the only Premier Division action of the day.
This weekend Ilkley, Kirkby Malzeard and Boroughbridge Reserves will expect to strengthen their title credentials as they all take on lower ranked opposition in Harold Styans, Northallerton Town and Pateley Bridge respectively.
Trojans appear to have the toughest task with the short trip to champions Otley Town Reserves, kick-off 2pm. (Players should meet at the Cricket Club at 1pm).
Whilst Town are not enjoying the best of times they did inflict Trojans' heaviest defeat of the season winning 5-1 on The Rec in August so the Burley side will be keen to set the record straight.
In Division Two Trojans Reserves still lead the way with Sherwood taking over in second place from Ilkley Reserves with a 4-2 win over out of sorts Helperby United.
Trojans will be hoping that Helperby's misery continues when they entertain the North Yorkshire side on The Rec on Saturday, kick- off 2pm. Players should meet at the Cricket Club at 1.15pm.
