A couple who stumbled across two old cartoon books during a clear out have donated them to the West Yorkshire Air Ambulance to raise funds for the charity.
Ted and Liz Whitlock of Cross Hills came across the two books of Sir David Low's cartoons and decided they would use them to try to raise money for a good cause.
The books - Europe since Versailles and Europe at War - date back to 1940 and 1941 and feature political cartoons by Sir David Low.
Mr Whitlock says: "They're really sharp and amusing cartoons. We've had them for a good few years now - they were in with another box of books we bought.
"We read in the Keighley News that the West Yorkshire Air Ambulance was desperately short of funding so we wanted to have the books either auctioned off or offered as a raffle prize."
Sir David Low is acclaimed as the 20th Century's greatest cartoonist, a master satirist who depicted the evils of Fascism and Nazism.
Born in New Zealand and working in Australia before arriving in Britain in 1919, Sir David had a colourful career. Among others he worked for The Spectator, the London Evening Standard, The Daily Herald, and The Manchester Guardian.
A West Yorkshire Air Ambulance spokesman said: "That is wonderful news, a really kind offer. We are always looking at ways to try to increase funding so we'll keep people posted on what will happen to the cartoon books."
