FORMULA ONE Stock Car racer, Frankie Wainman Snr, has qualified for the Live Action Indoor Series which takes place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham this weekend.
The competition is part of the Autosport Show, the world's biggest racing car show, which began yesterday and continues until Sunday.
Wainman, who was the 1979 World Champion, took part in the event last year, which will give him an advantage on the tight indoor racing oval. He also won a string of races during the 2002 season and is hopingto start the 2003 campaign on a high.
An estimated 60,000 people are expected to see the Stock Car action during the four day show as Frankie puts his 600bh racing car through its paces.
"We enjoy taking part in the event. The arena has great atmosphere and we're hoping to do well," Frankie said.
