Keighley and Craven Athletics Club ladies performed well in the snow of the TCA Overden fell race near Ogden Reservoir last weekend.
Christine Preston (left) was second in the ladies race, followed home by Hillary Barber in third place.
Stanbury runner, Margaret Jagan, representing the East Pennine Orienteering Club, was fourth and the first lady over-50. The ladies race was won by English Fell international Jo Smith in a time of 72mins 21 secs.
The race, which covered an eight mile circuit with 1200ft of climbing, took in the Fly Flatts windmills.
Carl Gray won the men's race in 61:59 with evergreen Stephen Oldfield the first vet in 63:33.
Bingley Harrier Chris Cariss won the Yorkshire Cross Country title for the first time at Nunroyd Park in Guiseley, leading a field of over 300 in a time of 35:19 after a sprint finish with Mark Hilton of Leeds.
Bingley proved too strong for the opposition in the team event with Andy Peace 6th, 7 Ian Holmes, 11 Matthew Whitfield, 17 John Convery and 14 Stuart McDonald, giving them a total of 52 points.
Bingley Ladies took the silver medal with Pauline Munro fifth, Louise Geldart 12th and Sharron Taylor 15th.
n The Keighley & Craven club host the West Yorks Cross Country league at Cliffe Castle tomorrow (Saturday) with races starting at noon.
n On the fells the Boulsworth Hill Race starts from close to the Herders Inn at 12.30. The six-mile race involves 1200ft of climbing.
