The Gascoigne Gallery in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley, is to close its premises and open at a new site in Harrogate.
Gallery assistant Susanna Jeanes said the decision to leave Ilkley was taken to allow the gallery to expand.
The Gascoigne, which specialises in contemporary art, has been at its current Bolling Road premises for four years.
"The move has mainly been made because it is a much bigger gallery in Harrogate, with three times as much space," said Mrs Jeanes.
"We have lots of happy memories of Ilkley and hope the customers will follow."
The new gallery will open in Royal Parade, Harrogate, on Thursday, February 13.
