Chairman Gordon Gibb has delivered a message of hope to City fans awaiting the outcome of the club's mortgage negotiations.
The club are drawing up a new repayment plan for the £6.3m they owe Lombards North Central on the Sunwin Stand mortgage.
Gibb is prepared to put in personal guarantees to back up the mortgage, hoping that City's biggest creditor will agree to extend the time beyond the current six years they have to pay back the money.
Gibb said: "Within the next two weeks we will be in a position to make them an official proposal. Then it's a case of waiting for a response and hopefully their answer will be yes.
"Although it's another so-called crisis for us, everyone should take a lot of heart as far as they can. The mortgage is the last major piece of the jigsaw and once that's in place, I believe we have got a very solid platform on which to build for the future."
City suffered another financial blow on Saturday when the home game with Crystal Palace was called off because of a frozen pitch four hours before kick-off.
The match, which was going to be shown live on a Swedish TV channel, could be re-arranged before the end of the month, possibly on January 22.
