Fairweather Green's great debut adventure in the FA Sunday Cup is over after the side failed to reach the last eight - going out 3-1 to visitors A3 from Liverpool.
Playing a side with 20 years experience in the competition, Fairweather certainly weren't overawed and were the better side in the first 20 minutes.
They were unlucky not to be in front when Adie Howard stuck in Lee Summerscales' return pass only to be pulled up for offside.
Fairweather then hit a sticky patch when A3 scored twice in a minute. Goals came from the unmarked Lee Battle and Adam Williams, who scored at the second attempt after Mark Tasker's brilliant save.
Fairweather took a while to recover after the setback but were given a lifeline when A3 put a penalty wide.
But they then missed a penalty themselves when Lee Summerscales' spot kick was saved. Craig Isaacs bundled the ball over from a corner to give Fairweather a chance but with only six minutes left, A3's Anthony Riley, who had been one of the game's best players, saw Tasker off his line and put the game beyond doubt with a brilliant 25-yarder.
The Albion Sports versus St Margaret's game was postponed due to a frozen pitch and has been rescheduled for Sunday.
Queens Athletic reached the quarter- final of the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup for the first time with a 2-1 win over Fforde Grene.
Outplayed and a goal down after 25 minutes, Queens found a hero in Roger White, who had returned from injury after a month-long lay-off.
White struck twice in almost identical fashion before the interval to put Queens in front.
A hamstring injury meant White was missing for the second half when a strong rearguard was needed to protect the lead. Dave Morgan and another unsung hero, Phil Brown, rose to the challenge as Queens held out to become the second Alliance team into the last eight.
The Bradford Sunday Alliance First Division match between Holme Wood Athletic and Hare & Hounds was a rehearsal for Sunday's District Cup quarter final.
Holme Wood came through a hard encounter to win 3-1.
Athletic's man of the match was Terry Oddy who was the orchestrator of all the Holme Wood attacks.
Division 2A sixth-placed team Saltaire Rangers played hosts to basement club Fountain and were surprised to go in at the interval three goals adrift.
B Brooks opened the scoring for Fountain with team-mates J Ross and I Kay adding to the tally.
Saltaire made a few adjustments in the second period but could not find a way through and a further goal from Brooks gave Fountain a well-deserved three points.
