Bradford Bulls chairman Chris Caisley is optimistic that there will be first-rate facilities for spectators in time for the club's Odsal homecoming.

He said today: "The health and safety certificate from Bradford Council is not in doubt, it is more a matter of what facilities we will have ready for spectators, such as car parking and bars."

Last week Caisley expressed doubts that this would be available - especially if the Bulls were drawn at home in the TXU Energi Challenge Cup on the weekend of February 8-9.

The Bulls will know their fate in the fourth round draw next week, when the 12 Super League clubs enter the fray, but Caisley said: "We have made up the leeway and we should be OK.

"The seats in the main stand - all 5,000 or so of them - are in place and are coloured in red, amber or black with the Bulls lettering clearly visible on the seats.

"It looks fantastic, and we have an enlarged viewing area for the disabled at the back of the stand, where there is plenty of room for the disabled and their helpers.

"Work has also started on the concourse bar at the back of the main stand. There will also be bars at the Rooley Lane end and on the popular side."

The Bulls' first home match in Tetley's Super League VIII is against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday, March 9, but Caisley has admitted that he wanted the contest against St Helens on Friday, February 21 to be at Odsal.

He said: "The first match of the season is always a re-run of the Grand Final - that is what Sky Sports demand - but we wanted it to be at Odsal.

"But when it was pointed out to us that Saints haven't had a home match for their opening league clash for a couple of seasons, we didn't have a case."
