Two post office branches in Spen are to close next month to help safeguard the future of urban branches in Cleck-heaton.
The Telegraph & Argus reported last year that Post Office Ltd intended to restructure and modernise its national network of more than 9,000 urban post office branches.
Sub-postmasters across the country were asked to indicate their wishes for the future, and Post Office Ltd agreed with the sub-postmasters of Moor End post office in Bradford Road and Hunsworth post office in Hunsworth Lane that their branches should close permanently on February 18.
Eddie Herbert, head of area, said: "Customers in Cleck-heaton will continue to have reasonable access to local post office products and services."
