Aidan Davison is back to his best form - thanks to Gary Walsh.
City boss Nicky Law believes the return from injury of Walsh has seen Davison step up a gear to hang on to the keeper's
jersey.
Walsh, who was on the bench against Rotherham, plays his first game in five months tonight when the reserves face Liverpool at Chester.
Law said: "Walshy has been coming back really well and it makes a difference having him available again. It also gives us a bit of healthy competition for places which is always a good thing. It's something we haven't really had all year.
"Aidan is now looking over his shoulder which keeps him on his toes.
"But I thought he had a really good game at Rotherham. The second goal was very unfair on him because it took a wicked deflection and he had no chance. But I think the goalie helped to keep us in it.
"Unfortunately the goals were down to individual errors but that's been the case for most of the season."
Davison said: "I had a lot to do, probably too much. I'd have rather had a quiet game and we'd nicked it 1-0."
