Aireborough 27
Adwick le Street 5
Aireborough dominated this Yorkshire Division Five game against the fifth placed team in their division from start to finish to record a fourth straight league win after a poor start to the season.
Aireborough have made a good recovery after failing to record a point in their opening seven league games.
On Saturday at Nunroyd Park the Yeadon side scored an early try through Stuart Williams but this was soon cancelled out by one for the visitors, but this went unconverted.
Aireborough finished the first-half on top with a try from winger Andy Martucci.
In the second-half Aireborough went on the rampage and scored three further tries. These came from Stuart Williams, Martin Peel and Nick Holdsworth.
Overall this was a very good display by the Aireborough side with the forwards in a dominant mood and the backs seeming to gain in confidence with the amount of ball they received.
Hopefully they can make further moves up the table but they will have a tough task on Saturday when they travel to third placed Knaresborough
who have won eight of their 11 games albeit by, on the whole, narrow margins.
The second team visited Heath on Saturday and lost narrowly by 23-25 to their more experienced visitors.
This Saturday the second team also play Knaresborough away. The coach will leave the Station Pub at noon.
