An Oxenhope-born woman has died aged 101.
Emily Atkinson died at Beanlands nursing home, in Cross Hills, on Saturday.
Mrs Atkinson lived for 33 years with her late husband, Jonathan, a textile buyer, in Main Road, Denholme.
Her grand-daughter Rachel Atkinson, of Fell Lane, Keighley, said Mrs Atkinson had lived in her Denholme home until shortly after the death of her son, Peter, in April 1998.
"When my dad died she felt she was ready for some help, so went into a nursing home," said Ms Atkinson.
On her 100th birthday she received a telegram from the Queen and a party was held in the home to celebrate the achievement.
Mrs Atkinson has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at Denholme Edge Church, Denholme.
