Red Flu will probably come to Bradford some time this winter, Bradford's medical officer for environmental health, Dr. George Bell says. The infection has returned to Britain after a 20 year absence, affecting about 300 children and adults on a U.S. Air Force base in Oxfordshire. Dr. Bell said it was a case of wait and see but all the signs indicated that it would spread rapidly through the rest of the country.

Is Bradford Moor Golf Course to be turned into a municipal course next year? This question has arisen following a statement by Ald. J. Foster, after yesterday's meeting of the Bradford Parks Committee, that they were delaying a decision about renewing the lease of the course for the time being, "with a suggestion that we may make it a municipal golf course". The course is owned by the Corporation and leased to Bradford Moor Golf Club, who have applied for a renewal of lease from 1 February, 1954 (this proposal was not carried through).
