The health and wealth of Manningham residents came under scrutiny at an event organised by Barclays Bank staff.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was just one of the attractions at the 'Health and Wealth' event at the Carlisle Business Centre in Carlisle Road, organised by staff at the bank's Manningham branch.
The idea of the day was to provide free information and advice on welfare and financial matters, as well as promote healthy living.
A host of organisations were involved, including Manningham Healthy Living Project, Asian Disability Awareness, the Bradford Royal Infirmary Cardiac Rehabilitation Team, Manningham Health Centre, West Yorkshire Police, Surestart, Bradford Youth Parliament, The Prince's Trust, Community Sports Council, Bradford Council Youth Services, Asian Trade Links, Youth Team Initiative, and dentist Tom Sampson.
Although the air ambulance was called to two emergencies, pilots and medics were able to spend time with visitors explaining the importance of the service, which costs £1 million a year to maintain.
Heather Elliott, first cashier at Barclays Manningham and organiser of the event said: "This was a great opportunity for residents to review their lifestyles and perhaps make new year changes to improve their personal and financial well being."
Zamaram Hussain, branch manager, said: "At Barclays we are committed to communities and we are delighted to support the health and wealth event. This is a great example of Barclays staff working closely with the local community to achieve something which we hope will make a real and lasting difference."
