History was made in Bradford last night with the official opening of one the world's most important photographic collections.
The Unknown Pleasures exhibition, pictured, at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, is the first display in Bradford of work from the Royal Photographic Society collection which will be housed at the museum.
The exhibition was opened by Lord Waldegrave of North Hill, who is chairman of the National Museum of Science and Industry.
"It is very good to be here at this historic occasion," he said.
John Page, president of the Royal Photographic Society, said its new partnership with the museum was a fitting way to mark the society's 150th anniversary.
