Lee Gilmour jetted off Down Under yesterday knowing this time he would be pulling on an international jersey for definite.

The Bulls centre is part of the ten-man England squad taking part in the revived World Sevens in Sydney next weekend against NRL teams and some of the smaller rugby playing nations.

And unlike his last trip to Australia, where he was left doing the stats as Great Britain were humiliated in a one-off Test series, this time he will be involved.

"Last summer it was a frustrating trip," said Gilmour, who broke into the side during the Test series against New Zealand.

"But it was worth going out because it was part of being involved in the international set-up and I'm pleased to be involved again.

"It is going to be a tough tournament and pretty hard work but I'm proud to be representing my country again."

Gilmour, who played in the Bulls' victorious Middlesex Sevens side last year, will return on February 4, just four days before the competitive season starts for real with the Challenge Cup fourth round.

Former Great Britain international Mike Gregory, who masterminded England Academy's historic defeat of the Australian Schoolboys last month, has been appointed coach for the two-day Sevens tournament, which will be held at Aussie Stadium.

The party includes five members of the Great Britain side that beat the Kiwis in the third Test at Wigan, most notably captain Andy Farrell, and Wakefield centre Gareth Ellis who was voted player of the England A tour to the Pacific.
