A 15-year-old girl was snatched at knifepoint from a Bradford street before being brutally beaten and raped by two attackers.
After the two-hour horror ordeal the battered and bruised youngster, who had also suffered a fractured jaw, was dumped back on a street where she raised the alarm.
It is thought she had boarded the wrong bus home on Saturday night and realising her mistake, and got off in Oak Lane, Manningham at around 11.30pm.
Detective Superintendent Phil Sedgwick, who is leading the investigation, said: "She was waiting at a bus stop when a small white hatchback car containing two Asian males pulled up."
He added: "They threatened her to get into the car, saying they would stab her with a knife if she didn't."
The terrified youngster complied and was driven to an area she didn't know where she was badly beaten by the pair and raped by both men.
It is unclear exactly where the girl was taken and specialist officers were set to interview her further today.
Det Supt Sedgwick said that around 1.30am, the girl was dropped off in Lynfield Drive, off Haworth Road, and made her way to a nearby garage where the police were alerted.
"The victim had a badly bruised and swollen face and upper body and had a suspected fractured cheekbone or jaw," he added.
The injuries were inflicted by the abductors brutally punching her on the head and body.
Det Supt Sedgwick said that the incident was not being linked to any previous attacks: "The girl has found herself alone and in a strange area and these two men have seen this and targeted her.
"This was a horrific attack and we need to catch these men before they strike again."
He urged anyone who saw the girl in the girl in the Oak Lane area to call the incident room which has been launched to investigate the incident.
She is described as being white, 5ft 2ins tall with shoulder-length blonde hair.
She was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a blue jacket and blue trainers.
Anyone who saw her should ring Bradford North police on (01274) 376349 or (01274) 376259.
