Giant prop Paul Anderson is back from surgery and ready for action.
Anderson, who missed out on the trip to Castleford last week while recovering from a hernia operation, is now desperate to resume
normal service.
And the 31-year-old cannot wait to get back to action in what he describes as "a massive year".
Anderson, the scariest looking member of the Awesome Foursome of Bulls props, made just 19 appearances last year after breaking his arm on the head of a Halifax opponent.
He is now fully recovered, although retaining a metal plate in there, and is desperate for more glory with the club.
"This is a big year for us," said Anderson, who looks set to be joined by youngster Richard Moore as the new fourth prop after Brian McDermott's retirement.
"And it is a big year for me personally. We have a big, young squad and there is plenty of competition for places.
"It goes without saying that everyone is kept on their toes, because no matter how established you are in the team, there are quality players here who want your place in the starting line-up."
And, on personal level, there is plenty for Anderson to achieve.
He admits to being surprised at his inclusion in the Test team to face the Kiwis last year and is hopeful of securing his place more convincingly in the squad to take on the Aussies.
"I don't think I played all that well towards the back end of last year so it was a real surprise to get into the Test side," he added.
"But I want to make sure my performances are good enough this year that I get picked again."
