Danny Care, who plays rugby union for Prince Henry's Grammar School, Otley and Yorkshire, is one of 23 North players who will be in action in the England 16-Group Schools final trial at Castlecroft in Wolverhampton this weekend.
More than 70 players have been selected for the trial weekend after they impressed in the Divisional Festival at Castlecroft two weeks ago.
The players will be split into four teams for matches.
The England selectors will then name a provisional England training squad of 22 and the remaining players will be involved in a further trial match on February 2.
After that the selectors will choose a provisional England A squad from that game to prepare for the home and away internationals against Wales A in April.
The players not selected for either England or England A will play in a further round of divisional matches - North v Midlands at Mansfield in March 1 and South West v London at Wellington College on March 2 - where places in the England 16-Group North and South teams will be at stake.
The two English regional teams will play teams from the French Academy at Millfield School from April 12 to 16.
Other Yorkshire players in the trial are Robert Anderson (Bradford Grammar School); David Doherty (Mount St Mary's College); James Endersby (Outwood Grange College); Christopher Hughes (Driffield School); Charles I'anson (Withernsea HS); Alastair Macleod (St Peter's School); Matthew White (Hymers College); Thomas Whittaker (Beverley GS); Thomas Woolsey (St Peter's School).
