Landlord Eric Milner has just the job for shifting snow from his car park at the Waggon and Horses pub, Oxenhope. He's built his own snow plough. He is able to fasten it to the front of his Jaguar XJ6, and already British Leyland have photographed this unique model. "It cost me about £15 to build from scrap-metal. Last year we were snowed in and it took two days to clear the snow away. I didn't want to do that again this year so I built the plough."

More than 80 members of the Bradford Dolphin Swimming Club, with members of the Amateur Swimming Association, were guests of the Management Committee of the Eccleshill Conservative Club at their annual party. Square dancing, ping pong, darts and musical items were included in the entertainment.
