CRAVEN soccer action tomorrow embraces both league and cup matches, with the most important ties being the West Riding FA County Challenge Cup quarter-finals involving the two local sides who have reached the last eight.
Silsden are the holders of the trophy, but they face a stiff test of their pedigree tomorrow when they visit Storthes Hall, who have won the trophy three times in the last five years. The Huddersfield side beat Wibsey 2-1 last weekend to reach the final, while Silsden progressed via a 3-0 home win over Brackenhall United.
Barnoldswick United have home advantage when they entertain Lower Hopton from Wakefield and will be optimistic that playing at West Close will give them the edge (1.30).
The West Craven side have been in good shape of late and are pressing at the top end of the West Lancashire League. On form, they should progress, especially if their 7-0 demolition of Honley in the previous round is a reliable form guide.
Also on the West Riding Cup trail on Sunday (1.30) are Silsden United Under 14s, who entertain Thornes.
Craven cup action tomorrow sees Skipton Bulldogs entertaining Hellifield Sports in the Northern Plant hire Challenge Trophy, while Skipton LMS entertain Embsay in a replay for their drawn Premier Division Cup tie.
