Regent Victoria from the Premier Division became the first side to beat Wharfedale League leaders Baildon twice this season.

Victoria went a goal down in the first half when John Brear gave New Inn the lead.

They held on until the second half and then Regent began to turn it on and out played the leaders.

Ben Whitaker, in outstanding form, knocked in a hat-trick.

Steve Forrest and Robert Bedford scored one apiece as Regent hit five unanswered goals to complete their double over New Inn.

Elsewhere in the division, Crossflatts beat Cricketers 7-2. Damien Lee led the way with a hat-trick, Joe Lunn grabbed two and Ronnie Cartwright and Michael Atkinson both scored one each.

Wrose Albion hit Stocks Lane Rangers for eight. It was 4-1 by half-time and the game was sealed but it took 20 minutes for Wrose to get on the scoresheet, as Stocks Lane fought hard.

James Marshall set the ball rolling when he hit a 30-yard volley to open the floodgates and with three quick goals for Wrose, the game was out of Lane's reach.

The second half found Wrose hitting four more goals to bury their opponents.

Boltmakers Arms won a one-sided affair with Angel. The game was over by half- time as Boltmakers hit four goals in 15 minutes to end the half 5-0 up.

Angel pulled two goals back early in the second half but it was not enough as Boltmakers hit three more near the end to run out easy winners.

Steve Hall (2), Chris Galdes, Dave Greenwood, Mark Ferguson, Paul Eccleson, John Kilby and Dave Atrigg were all on target for Boltmakers.

In the New Bridge Garage Senior Sunday Cup second round, there was a miss-match as Old House At Home played host to Horsforth St. Margaret's and lost 11-1.

Old House had injury problems early on when one of their key players - the centre half - got injured.

With no substitutes available, the player gamely attempted to play on hoping that treatment during the interval could do the trick.

But with ten minutes to go to the break, he could not continue and had to go off, leaving his side a player down.

Horsforth took full advantage and hit three unanswered goals in the half.

After the interval, Old House tried to stem the flow but Horsforth had the bit between their teeth and went on the rampage.

They hit eight goals to Old House's consolation goal from the old man himself Dave Gatenby.
