U Save DIY got back to winning ways with a fine 3-1 victory against lowly Upper Croft in the T&A League.

U Save started the better of the two sides and had several chances to take an early lead.

But they had to wait until the 20th minute before Lee Crowther opened the account.

Then it was end to end as Upper Croft matched them. But the ball broke loose from a corner and Andy Armitage drove the ball home from 18 yards to make it 2-0.

Upper Croft were rewarded for their part in an entertaining first half when they pulled a goal back.

After the break U Save stepped up a gear and had 90 per cent of the play but failed to take their chances as the woodwork saved Upper Croft on three occasions. Stern defending also helped and Upper Croft almost pulled level but shot wide. With the last kick of the game, U Save sealed victory. The Croft keeper left his line and punched the ball clear but only to Asghar Ali, who lobbed him to score a fine goal.

Isaacs moved second in the division but 13 points behind leaders TFD. It took Isaacs 25 minutes to get a grip on the game against Priory but they took the lead through a bullet header from Carl Youdall, who made it two after lobbing the keeper. But The Priory kept coming back and pulled a goal back before half-time.

In the second half, Phil Wilson made it 3-1 with a fierce shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

And Steve Hurd got a well deserved goal, curling the ball in from 18 yards to seal the victory.

Leaders TFD Centre had no trouble against Sycamores and ran in a dozen goals in a 12-2 win.

Paul Hickey led the way with four, Jamie McEwan added three, and Eddie Clavin a brace.

Richard Hollis, Robert Harrison and Carl Dunichie all grabbed one a piece.

East Bowling allowed several reserves to have a run out and they paid the price as they were well beaten 6-2 by Woodlands. Tyersal and Station Athletic fought out a draw in an even contest. Tyersal took the lead early with a goal from Wayne Hickey, and Athletic Scored with ten minutes left through Paul Moorhouse.
