Albion Sports went back to the top of the Premier Division with a 3-1 win against Crown.

Bolton Woods' game against East Bowling Unity was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and Albion took full advantage to leapfrog over their rivals.

Leading through Taj Singh's early goal, Albion lost their way in the first half.

But they were more focused after the interval and two goals from Aaron Haywood sealed a 3-1 win.

Strugglers Wrose Bull were down to nine men for the visit to Queensbury where Steve Blackett was outstanding following his signing from East Bowling.

Queensbury ran out 8-1 winners with Neil Jones, Mick Naylor, Daz Fletcher and Martin Patterson all scoring two apiece.

In the First Division, Roman Zurek hit the winner for Dudley Hill Rangers in their 3-2 win at bottom clubChellow. After going behind from a close-range effort from Rangers' defender Daryl Middleton, Chellow led through goals via a corner and a shot which went under the Rangers' keeper's body.

But they failed to get anything from the game when Craig Brown levelled with a penalty and Zurek got the winner.

After beating leaders Holme Wood early in the season, third-placed West Bowling missed the opportunity to go second behind Holme Wood when they lost the return match 4-0.

There was nothing between the sides in the first half. But Athletic, a goal in front from Mark Warren, grabbed the second-half initiative and with Bowling's defensive work not as reassured as the division leaders, Holme Wood took hold of the game. Warren's second goal clinched it at 4-0.

With all their players returning from injury and several new signings, Westwood were 2-0 winners over Hare & Hounds.

Queensbury Reserves emulated their first team by finding the net eight times at division strugglers Undercliffe CC. Paul Leadbetter finished top scorer with three and Craig Smith, on his return from injury, looked as if it wouldn't be long before he would be pushing for a first- team place.

With Aaron Williams on hat-trick duty, Nags completed a double with a 4-2 win over Victoria Rangers in Division 1A.

After a couple of lapses, Quarry returned to winning ways at Woodlands. There were chances for both teams before Quarry led through Steve Harrison. Manager Barry Peacock, playing because of a couple of non-arrivals, increased the score and by the time Andy Wilson had added a third the Woodlands' youngsters' heads had dropped.

With seven players finding the net, Shoulder of Mutton had an easy run out against visitors Move It Removals. Lee Grice finished top scorer with three in an 11-2 romp.

In Division 1B, Heaton United avenged an earlier defeat against Ring O'Bells to put their promotion hopes back on track. Artif Hussain scored in the first half and an edge-of-the-box cracker from Tahir Mahmood sealed a 2-0 win.

Beaten 6-1 early in the season, White Eagles showed how far they have come when edged out 3-2 by Woodman Rovers in the return. Eagles led from Chris Ali in the first half and Johnny Spivey levelled after Woodman had gone 2-1 up only for Rovers to win it in the 85th minute.

In Division 2A, Queensbridge United steamed into an early lead over Saltaire Rangers with three well-taken goals. Saltaire rallied however with a goal each from Richard White and Matthew Frankish before the interval. The tables turned early in the second half as Brent Netzler scored two goals to put Saltaire 4-3 in the lead. Queensbridge as always never gave up and netted two late goals to win 5-4.

Tahir Ali scored a hat-trick to help Bishop Rovers win 6-1 against a struggling Bangladeshi Youth side. Other scorers for Bishop Rovers were Shahpal Yaqoob, Khalid Mahmood and Tanvir Ahmed.

Chris Hannay took his team Harps International to the top of Division 2B with two well-taken goals. Their opposition, seventh placed Coach & Horses, failed to score.

Championship contenders Royal Mail Rangers moved up a place in the very close Division 2B table after beating Chellow B 3-1. Rangers' scorers were Paul Gibbon, Paul Barraine and Paul Wardley.

l Queens Athletic's attempt to reach the last four stage of the County Cup came unstuck at Sikh Temple Huddersfield in the fifth round replay. Queens had Paul Gelder sent off in a 4-0 defeat.

Buttershaw White Star from Division 2A beat Keighley Athletic 3-2 in the quarter-final of the Sunday Trophy thanks to goals from Darren Nero Terry Hyland and an own goal.

Albion Sports Reserves were far too strong for Fleece and recorded a 6-1 win in the outstanding Alliance third round Intermediate Cup game. Double-chasing Clayton Orient, Wyke Wanderers and Waggoners all won their fourth round matches.

Wyke Wanderers were winners at Wibsey WMC Reserves. with keeper Dave Gill outstanding. Lethal strikers Steve Smith and Carl Yewdall shared the goals in Waggoners' 5-3 win over Idle. Clayton enjoyed a sporting game at Oakworth Juniors where Grant Soames' eighth minute goal ended a close affair, Clayton winning 2-1.
