City's season ticket prices for 2003-2004, unveiled today, will be among the cheapest in the First Division.

Adults will pay £225 in the Carlsberg Stand and £250 in the Sunwin and East, if they buy before March 29.

And there will also be incentive prizes for fans who pay before the first deadline - by cash or cheque. The first 1,000 will receive season passes to Flamingo Land and Pleasure Island worth £80, replica shirts signed by at least five of the City squad and a third off goods at the club's Up Front store.

Managing director Shaun Harvey said: "We've done an enormous amount of unglamorous, low-profile work to stabilise the company. We've got more to do in that regard but we're now also able to look forward to the future rather than just concentrating on dealing with matters as they crop up on a day-to-day basis. One of the key factors last year during the dark days of administration was the support from the fans. That is still as important today as it was then.

"The biggest sign of support the fans can give us is by showing their commitment and purchasing their season-tickets as early as possible.

"We have looked carefully at the pricing structure and believe it represents the best value.

"We've got to look to protect the existing supporter base but also allow it to grow by charging reasonable prices."

City have ditched the policy of pricing blocks of seats individually. It was brought into place when the club were in the Premiership, but with gates tailing off it has become unmanageable as fans move around the stand.

Instead there are flat charges for each area whether behind the goal or on the side of the pitch. A season ticket holder attending every league game will save £120 in the Carlsberg Stand compared with buying match by match and £118 on the two sides.

Harvey added: "A very limited number of season ticket prices have actually increased but the vast majority in the popular areas have gone down.

"Juniors have gone up following on from match-day price increases which happened halfway through the season. But we feel they still represent the best value in the division."
