SHOPPERS were tricked into thinking there was a new estate agent in Otley this week.

The Northern Properties shop sprang up overnight on Monday in Market Street - but on closer inspection, all the properties were in the fictional town of Aidensfield - the main town of Yorkshire Television's Heartbeat.

By Tuesday, the neighbouring Holt's Lingerie shop had also been transformed - to a 1960s style shop, complete with men's Long Johns on full view and marked for sale in the window.

Actor Mark Jordan who plays PC Bellamy, Anita Carley who plays Babs and new character PC Steve Crane played by James Carlton were on site to film an episode in the second half of the 12th series.

Otley is frequently used in the Yorkshire Television drama and is likely to appear again in the series which will be aired on ITV from the middle of next month.
