Keighley Athletic went out of the County Trophy to Buttershaw White Star.

The Bradford side had much the better of the early exchanges and went in leading 2-0 at half-time. Athletic came back strongly and Tom Whitwam pulled a goal back.

The crucial moment came as Athletic pressed forward looking for an equaliser, Buttershaw broke and from the resulting cross the unfortunate Bob Morrisroe nodded past his own keeper.

Late in the game Martin Ryan headed home for Athletic to set up a tense finale, but it was not to be and the final whistle brought cup disappointment for the Keighley side.

n Regent Victoria became the first side to beat Wharfedale Sunday League leaders Baildon twice. Victoria went a goal down in the first half as John Brear gave New Inn the lead which they held until the second half. A second half hat-trick from Ben Whitaker and further goals from Steve Forrest and Robert Bedford secured a 5-0 win.

Crossflatts beat Cricketers 7-2 as Damien Lee led the way with a hat-trick, Joe Lunn got two and Ronnie Cartwright and Michael Atkinson both scored one each.

Wrose Albion beat Stocks Lane Rangers 8-1.

Boltmakers Arms won a one sided affair with Angel . The game was over by half time as Boltmakers raced into a 5-0 lead. Angel pulled two goals back early in the second half but it was not enough as Boltmakers scored three more near the end to run out easy 8-2 winners.

Steve Hall (2), Chris Galdes, Dave Greenwood, Mark Ferguson, Paul Eccleson, John Kilby and Dave Atrigg were on target for Boltmakers.

In the New Bridge Garage Senior Sunday Cup second round saw a miss-match as Old House At Home played host to Horsforth St. Margaret's who were 3-0 up at the break. In they added eight more with Old House scoring a consolation effort.
