East Bowling Unity, who are still in the mix in the battle for the Premier Division title, gained revenge with a 7-3 win over bogey side Crown - a team who have beaten them twice recently.
Racing into a 3-0 lead, Unity had a fright when Wayne Cotton pulled two goals back - one a penalty - but they finished the stronger to win 7-3 with new signing Mark Betts grabbing four.
Queensbury moved into third place, their highest position so far, with a 3-0 win over East Ward. Despite having no substitutes due to suspensions, Ward battled away as usual but couldn't bridge the gap against an improved side. Mick Naylor scored two for Queensbury on his return to the side.
Queens - still needing points for safety - went down 2-1 on their visit to Oakenshaw. Matthew Papworth, who is enjoying a fruitful first season, and Gary Owen scored the Oakenshaw goals.
Wrose Bull started with only nine men against Albion Sports who went
2-0 up before Bull were at full strength. Wrose had their chances but Albion were always in command and ran out
5-0 winners.
In the outstanding Senior League Cup tie Fairweather Green were 4-2 winners at Pudsey Royal and now meet Queensbury in Sunday's quarter-final.
First Division leaders Holme Wood's game at Stanley Road fell victim to a waterlogged pitch, while Undercliffe CC couldn't raise a side for the visit of third-placed West Bowling.
In the only game played in the division, Hare & Hounds' makeshift side were no match for Wibsey WMC and went down 8-0.
Division 1A leaders Clayton Orient were held 4-4 by an enterprising St Pat's side. Three times Clayton were in front and three times St Pat's equalised and then shocked the leaders by going 4-3 in front. Grant Soames, who had opened Clayton's scoring, proved
the late hero with a 90th-minute equaliser.
Baildon Trinity, making a late run to join the promotion race, beat Quarry 3-2. Two goals from Quarry substitute Barry Peacock saw his team go 2-1 up until Baildon rallied in the last quarter with two goals, one a penalty.
Trailing 3-0 at half-time, Move It Removals fought back after the break with two goals from Gavin Summers, but they ran out of time in their search of an equaliser.
While Nags couldn't raise a side at Shoulder of Mutton, Hudsons hit their highest score of the season in an 8-2 win over Woodlands. Seven men got on the scoresheet as Hudsons slotted home six goals in the second half. Mick Dawson's goal was the pick and there was a rare speciality - a headed goal from Steve Robinson.
In the battle between first and second in Division 1B, Wyke Wanderers were 2-0 winners in a competitive encounter at Heaton United.
Heaton started the brighter but Wyke refused to be rattled and led through Jimmy Morrell's first-time volley at half-time. The next goal was always going to be decisive and it came via a Dave Moffatt penalty.
The other Moffatt brother, Brian was man-of-the-match and Wyke's win means they now need only two wins from their last six games to clinch the title.
After a scoreless first half, White Eagles turned in a high quality six-goal second-half to thump visitors Royal Clayton 6-2, while in a game that was closer than the scoreline suggests, Woodman Rovers beat Fairweather Green Junction 5-2.
