Tevita Vaikona today declared: I'm fit, back and ready for a Super League game.
The Bulls' flying Tongan winger waltzed through his first game since an off-season injury with no ankle problems and two tries under his belt.
And now Vaikona, who bagged 19 tries for Bradford last season, is ready for the Odsal Homecoming and a chance to open his Super League account.
"The most important thing was to get through Sunday's game without a reaction," said Vaikona, whose appearance in the 82-0 destruction of Hunslet in the Challenge Cup was his first game since the Grand Final and an Achilles operation.
"It was a bit stiff after the game, but I expected that. It was important for me to play the game and get my confidence back.
"Physically I was ready but after such a long break I needed to get back into it mentally and get my confidence back."
Vaikona is hoping to retain his place in the side for the visit of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and is ready for the step-up to Super League speed rugby.
"The Hunslet game was a good one for me to get back into," he added.
"And now I am ready for a Super League game and if I get the chance I want to show what I can do."
