A 79-year-old woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the car she was travelling in was in collision with a heavy goods vehicle in Pool-in-Wharfedale.
The accident happened at around 9.30am on Friday, February 28 when the cars collided near the White Hart pub in the village.
The woman was taken to hospital with leg and head injuries.
Firefighters from Cookridge and Rawdon were at the scene and had to cut the roof off the woman's Subaru car to get her out.
Sub Officer Don Bullivant said: "An Alfred Hymas lorry was coming down Pool Bank and the woman was coming up Pool Bank when the accident happened.
"It was just before the roundabout at the White Hart pub."
The woman comes from Pateley Bridge.
Traffic was held up for more than two hours right up to the Dyneley Arms crossroads following the accident.
