Budding young scribes at Stanbury Primary School took a literary tour around the world to celebrate World Book Week.
The pupils took part in a workshop run by Keighley-based children's poet and author Akulah Agbami, who has worked with youngsters across the globe in countries such as Australia, France and South Africa.
Bradford-born Akulah, who has just returned from workshops in the Caribbean, led the pupils in recitals of a world poem that encompassed cultural elements of different countries
She said: "It is really important that young people are aware of the tradition of world writing and also of their own creativity.
"It is also good for them to see how schools work across the world."
After joining in with the readings the literary lads and lasses had a go at writing their own poems and stories.
