Schools, playgroups and nurseries this week joined in the celebrations for World Book Day.
One school which entered into the spirit was Oxenhope Primary School. Pictured are learning support assistant Sara Watts as Noddy, with Sorcha McCaffrey as Where's Wally, Josh Packham as Pinnochio and Bethan Attwood as Aslan from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Yesterday was officially declared World Book Day in the UK and Ireland, the biggest annual celebration of books and reading.
The tradition began in Catalonia, Spain, where people celebrate St George's Day by giving a book and a rose to loved ones (St George is also the patron Saint of Catalonia).
