There were 34 burglaries in the centre of Cleckheaton last month, according to police.
PC Steve Blakeley told members of Spenborough Chamber of Trade that since February 1, houses, shops and sheds attached to houses had been broken into, as well as schools.
Paperland in Northgate was attacked by burglars twice. On February 17, £500 worth of damage was caused and £500 worth of stock taken. It was burgled again on February 25, when £500 worth of damage was caused to the window and the cigarette display taken.
The Malt Shovel Garage in Westgate, Cloughs Joiners in Tofts Road, the Dragon Takeaway in Dewsbury Road, The Nail Bar in Bradford Road, Uncle G's takeaway in Central Parade and Oxfam in Northgate were also burgled.
There were also 20 thefts from motor vehicles, four thefts of motor vehicles, three thefts from shops and 14 other thefts.
Damage was caused to Springwell Complementary Health Centre in Northgate, Ivans fish and chip shop in Market Street and Clough's Joiners in Tofts Road.
