Otley Town 2, Littletown 1
In a must game win that could well have a bearing upon which team is relegated, Town triumphed with a bit to spare.
On top for much of this game, again it was missed chances, including a penalty, which let Town down.
Referee John Hislop, from Huddersfield, came off the field saying "Town missed so many opportunities, they should have scored a bagful.'
The last Saturday of this month also sees an important game for Town when they visit bottom side Storthes Hall who have games in hand over the two sides above them.
Steve Sullivan put Town ahead with a shot which deceived everyone, by looping over the defence.
In the second half, Michael Burke's shot equalised for Littletown with the Town defence watching and it was left up to Graham Hutchinson to once again score the winner for Town early in the second half.
Bedale Town 2, Otley Town Reserves 6
Yet again Town started the game badly, a deflected shot and a poor clearanceenabling Bedale go two up in ten minutes.
Luckily the defence got to gripswith the game and with Wolfenden orchestrating the midfield, Town dominated theremainder of the game.
It was Wolfenden who pulled a goal back, a good layoff from centre forwardAlderson was put away with ease.
Bang on half time Town drew level, the Bedale keeper unluckily seeing the rebound from a fine save turned into the net byAlderson.
The second half was as one sided as a match can be, the oppostion not able tomuster one shot in the whole of the half. Bedale seemed too give up the ghost asfurther goals from Wagstaffe (2) an own goal and a fine goal from substitute
Dinsdale, emphasised the difference in class.
The second half passing on a well prepared pitch was very good to watch, and should have resulted in more goals, with fine performances from Curry, Hawley and man of the match Wolfenden.
Otley Town first team play Golcar United on Saturday while the reserves play Pannal Sports in the second round of the Harrogate Senior Cup. The Town 'A' team have no game this weekend.
