MEMBERS of Keighley Tae Kwon Do club enjoyed success at the sport's British Championships with seven members taking part -- and all picking up medals.
The event attracts thousands of competitors from around the UK and the Keighley medal haul included a mother and son double with Hayley and Cameron Mitchell both picking up medals.
Keith RAistrick won the heavyweigfht black belt division and there were also medals for Pat Illingworth and instructor Chris Beanland, but he was disappointed with a bronze medal int he sparring after winning gold at the World Championships only a month earlier. However, he is now training witht he British Squad and hopes to earn a regular place on the team.
He is also working with Paul Royston, owner of Workouts Gym to improve his general strength and fitness.
"I read in the Keighley News about the hard work Paul has been putting in with the Cougars and realised he could help me achieve my goal. He is now helping me with diet, fitness and strength training," Chris said.
