Oakworth Under-13s bowed out of the Leeds United Millennium Cup with an agonising extra-time defeat by Harrogate Railway.

Twice Oakworth came from behind in the quarter-final clash, with goals from Adam Spencer and a superb strike from Paul Owens, but the Harrogate side got a winner five minutes from the end of extra time.

All the Oakworth players were magnificent in a pulsating game which could have gone their way if a little bit of luck had been on their side. Man of the match Spencer, with his defence of Ben Smith, Casey Dickson and Elliott Sharpe were superb.

Long Lee under 9s had a great game against Thornton. They played some fantastic passing football, with the opponents not knowing what was coming next and had numerous shots on goal but James Rhodes was the only one to score in a 2-1 defeat. Another goal just wouldn't come to win the game but Thornton took the lead with a goal in the last ten minutes. Thomas Francis was man of the match with an excellent job well done in defence. An unjustified result for a great performance.

Sutton Rascals Under 8 B Team were involved in a very competitive match at Nab Wood. It was a close contest but Sutton earned a 1-0 win after an excellent team performance. In the first half there were chances at both ends, Rascals keeper, Madison Teale diving bravely to defy Nab Wood. Max Bell volleyed the winning goal just before half time. The second half was full of action with the Sutton defence standing firm. Jack Smith was quick to make a goal line clearance for rascals and also Harry Tosney blocked a good scoring chance with a well-timed tackle. George Eastbury played well when he came on and was a handful for Nab Wood. Max Bell was man of the match .

Oakworth Under-10s B secured a 3-1 win over a strong Menston team. They hit the post and saw the ball stick on the line before Thomas Kerr broke the deadlock, but Menston came back with an equaliser within two minutes. In the second half Oakworth's determination began to show and two goals came in quick succession from James Smith and Greig Hudson to seal victory. Ryan Shrimpton was named man of the match after a solid performance in defence.

Oakworth Under-8s A got back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory over Idle. The solid team performance saw goals from Ryan Cox (2), Ryan McDermott (2) and Jackson Rouse. Bradley Fox and Jackson Rouse shared the man of the match award.

Long Lee Under-8s A put in a solid team performance to run out 7-0 winners over Bolton Woods. Man of the match Jamie Gagg was on form in midfield and there were hat-tricks from Matty Moses and Liam Baker together with an own goal. Defensive duo Like Ireland and Kyle Todd had solid games at the back.

Long Lee Under-12s continued their impressive run with an 8-0 win over Sandy lane. Same Rooke scored four and other goals were scored by Zak Peat, Aaron Stack, James Smail and man of the match James Bailey.

Long Lee Under-14s went down 5-2 at Menston despite playing good football. A lack of concentration at the back helped the Menston forwards and Long Lee's goals came from Craig Morris and Calum Flaherty.

Long Lee under-11s were given a shock by Cross Roads in the cup. James Francis scored the opener, but Roads hit back to take a 2-1 lead. Francis equalised and Josh Huntley scored twice to make certain of victory. Jack Hainsworth and Jimmy Marshall picked up a well deserved match point.

Silsden Under-14s A travelled to Colne Clarets because of a waterlogged home pitch, but managed to secure a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Andrew North. He broke the early deadlock only for Colne to equalise just before the break. Five minutes from time North scored the winner. There were also superb defensive performances from Charles Clegg, Gian Luca Consoli, Hamish Munro and William Maisey. Last night (Thursday) they were playing their County cup semi-final game against Tadcaster Albion at the County FA's Woodlesford ground.

A good first half performance saw Oakworth Under-9s B to a 4-2 victory over Bolton Woods in a hard fought game. First half goals came from Jason Roberts and Joe Healy (2), with Jake Ward scoring his side's fourth after the break. Woods grabbed two late goals but Oaks hung on. Connor Davis was man of the match.

In a thrilling end to end game Long Lee Under-7s took a 1-0 lead after a great run and cross from Declan Burke which was blasted into the top corner by Samee Tariq. In the second half Thackley came back with an equaliser despite great defending from Liam Chipman and man of the match Ben Addison. However the day belonged to Long Lee with a winning shot from Sam Hallas.

Oakbank Under-9s travelled to top of the table Menston expecting a tough match and they were not to be disappointed, but fame away with a 3-3 draw. Menston took the lead just before half time, but Oakbank were more determined in the second half. After finding themselves 2-0 down pure determination from Mathew Lee saw them pull a goal back. Menston showed why they were top of the league and went 3-1 ahead with only five minutes to go. Oakbank charged back onto the attack and pressure from Ross Kelly and Lewis Wrathall caused the home full back to put through his own goal. Great defensive work from debutant Ian Devlin and Ben Roe kept out Menston and with just seconds to go Kelly went on a solo run before squaring for Ryan Stubbs to crack home the equaliser. Man of the Match was Connor Beddeos.

Long Lee Under-17s look to be on their way into the semi-final of the cup after securing a 6-0 first leg victory over Eccleshill United.

The team have met twice in the league with Long Lee winning by the odd goal, but there had been nothing to suggest they would run riot. After a strong start G Holmes gave the Keighley side an early lead and furthe goals from J Kershaw and D Finn followed. Eccleshill reverted to some strong tactics, but nothing could knock Long Lee off their stride as further goals followed from Kershaw, Clues and Jackson.

Earlier the Under-17s had beaten Idle 3-0 in the league with goals from Holmes (2) and Scott Nelson.

Silsden Juniors Under-8s beat Undercliffe A 10-1. Goals were scored by Chris Wademan (2), Oliver Peacock (2), Danielle Whitham (2), Ben Gerary, Jake Muir, Harvey Briggs and Mark Smith.
