City's strikers are sweating on who will partner Danny Forrest tomorrow.
Nicky Law is set to keep faith with the local youngster up front against Crystal Palace.
And that means either Ashley Ward or Andy Gray could dip out.
Ward is still struggling with tonsillitis which forced him to miss the midweek draw with Leicester.
But if he does recover in time, there is no guarantee of a starting slot.
Forrest followed up his Walsall wonder goal with an all-action display on Tuesday and should keep his place.
Law said: "Wardy might not be ready anyway, otherwise I've got to make the decision whether Danny has done enough to stay in the team.
"We all know what Wardy offers us up front but it would be difficult not to keep Danny in after playing so well.
"And Andy Gray has scored 12 goals for us this season but he's had two indifferent games this week so both him and Ashley need to be looking over their shoulders."
Meanwhile, City's commitment to youth has continued with the signing of 20-year-old Ben Muirhead from Manchester United.
The striker, who impressed on trial in two reserve games for City, has joined until the end of next season.
Michael Standing's cousin Kevin Keehan, 17, has agreed a three-year scholarship. Keehan, who plays centre midfield, has been at Brighton's centre of excellence.
