With two rounds of the Winter League left, the top three pairings look certain of qualifying for the final, but there is still fierce competition for the other five playoff spots. The top eight at the moment are: Nick Cook/Richard Cook 211, Rob Mulloy/Matthew Brook 211, Jon Stones/David Lampkin 209, Mick Powell/Paul Binns 203, Robert Stead/Richard Piper 202, John Williams/Clive Bell 201, Peter Rishworth/George Auterson 200, David Beckett/John Bowles 200.
Keighley - The Ladies Section won the Bradford and District Ladies Golf Association Scratch Trophy for the winter foursomes. Keighley's aggregate score over three rounds of the six rounds played was 37, beating Bingley St Ives by two strokes.
After torrential rain at the weekend, new drainage ditches at the 6th and 7th holes worked wonders and enabled the Ladies to play the March medal on Tuesday. 1st Division: 1 C Brown 89-13-76, 2 P Brook 91-15-76; 2nd Division: 1 M Horner 120-39-81, 2 S Sunderland 119-35-84.
