Silsden Under-8s A beat Shelf 3-2 with goals from Christopher Wademan (2) and Danielle Whitham. The man of the match award was shared by Harvey Briggs and Oliver Peacock.
Oakworth Under-13s battled hard to beat Menston 1-0 with the decisive goal being scored in the first half by Paul Owens after good work by Andy Fox and Joe Hall. Goalkeeper Thomas Clark was named man of the match after showing superb handling skills to cut out any threat. Newcomer Scott Hartley also impressed.
Oakbank entertained Bolton Woods in what should have been a relatively comfortable victory for the home side but as it turned the game was packed with frustration for Oakbank and a last minute breakaway delivered the succer-punch to give Woods a 1-0 victory. Oakbank hit the post four times as they bombarded the Woods goal but were unable to break down a dogged defence. A missed penalty from Joe Gaughan, which also hit the post, summed up Oakbank's frustration. Jordan Nurse was man of the match and Tom Cartwright was also outstanding.
Bolton Woods totally dominated much of the game and were 2-0 up with just three minutes to go when Luke Thornton forced the ball home form a corner. With just a minute to left the Oakbank manager threw defender Ben Helliwell forward and was rewarded when he tucked the ball under the advancing goalkeeper. Kris Cameron was Oakbank's man of the match.
Oakbank Juniors Under-9s travelled to a very windy Shelf and scored the opener in the first minute through Matthew Lee. With the wind in their the lead was soon extended with a well worked goal from Ross Kelly. Adam Shepard struck a curling corner kick which was met perfectly on the volley by defender Ben Roe straight into the top corner of the net. Matthew Lee scored a second and Ryan Stubbs extended the score to 5-0 at the break. Shelf pulled two goals back before Lee completed his hat-trick to it to 6-2. Lewis Wrathall was man of the match.
Burley visited Sutton Rascals Under-8s B and in the first half the home side played well against the wind and did well to draw level at half time. In the second half Sutton used the conditions to their advantage with goals from Harry Eastbury (2), Sam Bailey (2) and William Storrie to give Sutton a 5-3 victory. Matthew Wiseman was unlucky not to score and George Eastbury was man of the match after a superb performance.
Sutton Rascals came up against very a strong wind and a very strong Shelf team. Man of the match goalkeeper Robert Tosney was kept busy as the Rascals were defeated 5-0. Despite their defeat there were strong performances from Tom Meakin and Callum Thomas. Luke England also showed defiant effort in the second half.
Silsden Under-10's enjoyed an excellent day with convincing wins over Wilsden A and B sides. The Under-10s A won 3-2 with goals from Kieran Duxbury (2) and Simon Todd (1). Calum Smith was voted man of the match for some fine all round play.
Silsden Under-10s B won 6-0 with goals coming from Joe Healey (1), Jake Ingham (2) and Jack Price (3). Jack Price was man of the match.
Oakworth Under-10s A beat Prospect 4-1 with a great teamperformance. An early goal fromcaptain Joe Alvey and a second from Tom Hudson after good work by Joe Mitchell put Oaks 2-0 up by the break. Tom Hudson completed his hat-trick after the break while Jack Atkinson and man of the match Luke Chapman were rock solid at the back. Prospect scored their consolation goal in the last minute.
Sutton Rascals Under-9s beat Shipley 1-0 thanks to a goal from man of the match Luke Fleetwood.
