Hooligans have forced a Bradford library to close two hours earlier in the evening than has been the custom. From tonight the 18-month-old Holme Wood Library in Broadstones Way, will close at 6pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until further notice because of increased incidents involving young people.

A new political party - the Liberty Party - is to be formed by Mr Thomas Webster, 26 year-old bachelor of Tillotson Street, Silsden. Irritated at what he terms "all these petty laws which are really unfair especially when carried out by people who don't realise what they are doing", Mr Webster intends to stand as a candidate in the Keighley Division in the next General Election.
