A man who used to make his living out of fish and chips has turned his sights on trawling for good people.
Richard Taylor was a founder member of a group of entrepreneurs who bought Harry Ramsden's fish and chip shop in Guiseley - then the only one in the group - in 1988. As chief executive international and group financial director, he helped expand the group before selling it off to media company Granada.
Now Mr Taylor has other fish to fry. He has been appointed chairman and managing director of Bradford-based executive recruitment and human resources consultancy Barnes Kavelle in Littlewood Court.
"Barnes Kavelle is a long-established business with an excellent reputation, a blue-chip client base and tremendous growth potential," he said. "My aim is to further develop Barnes Kavelle as a truly national human resource consultancy."
The company was formed in 1989 and clients range from banks to universities and NHS trusts.
