Keighley Cougars 22, Dewsbury Rams 2: Keighley stormed to their 100th point in two games with a convincing humiliation of the Dewsbury Rams.
Gary Moorby's men went into the Arriva Trains Cup clash against Division One opposition on the back of a 78-18 destruction of London Skolars last week, but even against tougher visitors the Cougars still bared all their teeth.
Andy Robinson, man of the match Adam Mitchell, Matti Firth and Chris Wainwright all bagged tries as the Cougars made a nonsense of the league placings with a 22-2 hammering of Dewsbury.
"I think, if anything, the scoreline flattered them," said coach Gary Moorby after his side kept their cup campaign on track.
"I was delighted that we kept up our momentum from last week and it was an impressive performance.
"I am pleased for the players and for the spectators."
The only change from last week saw Mitchell come in at stand-off, but his imaginative display ensured there was no slowdown in the Keighley go-forward.
It took the Cougars just 12 minutes to take the lead with Firth finishing off a long pass from Mitchell to add to his four scores from last week.
A mixture of Dewsbury's lacklustre defence and the Cougars encouraging enthusiasm meant for open rugby but the Cougars couldn't finish what they had started time and time again with clean breaks from Jason Ramshaw and Andy Robinson going unconverted.
Mitchell added a penalty after skipper James Rushforth was held down in front of the posts but that was it for the opening period scoring, although Mat Foster came close on the hooter, having the ball ripped out of his hands just on the goal-line.
Although Danny Brough gave Rams two points after the break for a Ramshaw off-side, the 1,111 crowd were then treated to a Cougars-only scoring show.
Mat Foster proved his worth once more athletically taking a Firth bomb before handing it off to Andy Robinson to walk it over.
The biggest cheer, however, was reserved for the 59th minute score.
Giant prop Phil Stephenson rolled back the years to his days as a centre as he lumbered fifty yards before giving it to Mitchell as he ran out of steam just before the line.
A great Dave Foster off-load sent home replacement Chris Wainwright for the final score of tan impressive day of summer rugby at a sunshine-bathed Cougar Park.
