Avenue boss Trevor Storton believes his side are capable of ten wins in their remaining 11 games and a top-four finish.
After his side tore apart Blyth on Wednesday, Storton is confident if they play to their ability there is no reason why they can't win that many victories.
His side knocked five past the north-east strugglers, but it could have easily been double that with Graham Mitchell missing a penalty and the strikers wasting many chances in a one-sided affair.
And Storton will be hoping his side take that form on when they travel west down the M62 tomorrow for a game against fourth-placed Vauxhall Motors.
The Merseyside outfit, who reached the FA Cup second round this season, were beaten 1-0 27 days ago at Horsfall Stadium by an Andy Wright goal - a result Storton would love to repeat.
But the visit to Rivacre Park, where Avenue were beaten 2-1 last March, marks the start of a busy run of four games in seven days for Storton's men.
The manager blames the UniBond league for the "ridiculous situation" as his side have sat out six Saturdays this season but are having to squeeze in midweek games to complete their matches in time.
"We are having to be sensible with our players at the moment," said Storton.
"We don't have the biggest squad in the world here and with this many games we have to be a little bit careful.
"We can't afford too many injuries although I was pleased to get through the Blyth game without any."
In the Spartans game, Danny Walsh and Simon Collins were withdrawn early, a tactic that Storton may need to use over the next week to survive.
Although the most sensible option, it did rob Collins of a chance of a hat-trick.
"I am no young spring chicken anymore," said Collins, who grabbed two goals and was only denied a third by a flying save from the Blyth keeper and his 64th- minute substitution.
"I think I am old enough to know now that the good of the team is worth more than a hat-trick. My knee was a bit dodgy so I thought it might be better to come off.
"This is how we are going to have to play it for the next few games and that is fine by me.
"It was a really good performance against Blyth, the pitch helped us a lot and we were really able to play a decent bit of football on it.
"I am an attacking midfielder and I love to score goals but I have to really thank Andy Hayward, he set me up a beauty both times.
"It would have been nice to get a third, but I don't know if I wanted one of those dodgy match balls anyway!
