A Keighley firm is providing vital help to a key member of West Yorkshire's fire team.
E & S Feeds, more commonly known as Cobbydog, will be supplying food for Dex, a fire investigation sniffer dog.
Stephen Leigh, a partner at the Dalton Works firm, said they sponsored many dog shows and were delighted to help with this dog's work.
He said: "The dog and his owner come in a lot to see us so we are delighted to supply him with food. Dex does some great work and it's important local firms help him out."
The two-year-old black Labrador is used by West Yorkshire fire service to investigate possible arson scenes.
Handler Chris Clarke, a sub-officer with the West Yorkshire Fire Investigation Team ,said: "He is trained to indicate if any accelerant has been used by looking for minor traces left behind after a fire. He can also find any containers and do clothing searches."
Dex, who has been working as a sniffer dog for 12 months, also works in schools to help teach fire reduction.
Mr Clarke added: "You can talk to the kids as much as you want and show them videos, but Dex provides a great focal point. He is such a lively dog and it is something different for the kids."
