AN hilarious adult comedy premieres on stage in Settle this weekend.
Life Models features professional actors recently seen on TV and is the latest play from the pen of Giggleswick man Martin Lewton, an experienced playwright and the driving force behind the Settle Festival of Theatre. His last work shown in Settle was One Fat Lady.
"The men are put through their paces as prospective nude models by a worldly female lecturer," said Mr Lewton. "Underlying the resulting hilarity is a poignant account of men and their attitudes to their own bodies.
"Life Models is a comedy with some serious bits. There are a few minutes in the play where there is complete nudity - you couldn't have a play about life models without it. It will be new to Settle, but it is very common in the theatre elsewhere."
Starring in the show are Anji Kreft, most recently seen as the foster mother to Zoe Tate's baby in Emmerdale, Kyle Phillip, who has starred in Holby City and The Bill, Mark Gibbs and Mr Lewton. The play is on at Settle Victoria Hall tonight (Friday), tomorrow and next Saturday (March 29) and at Grassington's Octagon Theatre on Friday March 28. Tickets will be available on the door.
