A cruise liner docks in Sutton next month in order to bring some sunshine to the village.

Sutton Amateurs will invite people on board for a light-hearted journey filled with songs from Cole Porter.

The musical Anything Goes follows the adventures of crew and passengers on a voyage from New York to England.

A young man follows his sweetheart on board in order to stop her marriage to a rich aristocrat.

The stowaway then gets involved with good-hearted gangsters on the run, as well as his ex-girlfriend.

Anything Goes is the first Sutton musical for several years to be performed at the village's St Thomas's Hall.

n The Good Old Days celebrates its golden jubilee with a season of old-time music hall at Leeds City Varieties.
